The first basic phrase we will learn is used to greet people from early in
the morning until noon:
ṢBĀꜧ EL-KHĪRصباح الخير. It means good morning and is used very commonly to say hi (until noon).
ṢBĀꜧصباح
means morning and
KHĪRخير
means better or good. You will hear it A LOT and some people improve it by
saying other words instead of KHĪRخير. The other most common word tied to
ṢBĀꜧصباح
is
NŌRنور in a greeting, creating: ṣbaꜧ en-nōrصباح النّور. It’s a little hard to pronounce, but try to repeat it as much as you can, as you hear it.
Notice that the article of
KHĪRخير
in
ṢBĀꜧ EL-KHĪRصباح الخير
is often dropped in the pronunciation.
