EL-ꜧAMD LIL̄AНالحَمد لِلَّه is very commonly heard from Arabs, as well as from Muslims in general. It literally means “praise to Allah”, from ꜧAMDحَمد “praise” or “worship”. The “oo” sound you heard in between is a residue of Standard Arabic grammar. We didn’t bother to write it in the dialect. EL-ꜧAMD LIL̄AНالحَمد لِلَّه is a way to say that you are doing well. It also used to say that you are full after a meal. It can be used when things aren’t going well, but you want to emphasize that with Allah, all is well anyways: EL-ꜧAMD LIL̄AНالحَمد لِلَّه. In the next clip, at one point, we will hear Slimen be asked to say it by his mother, in an almost reproachful tone, as though he was whining or complaining. The article is often dropped in EL-ꜧAMD LIL̄AНالحَمد لِلَّه, as you will hear.
